Featuring Buffalo Concertina All-Stars (NY), Ray Jay and the Carousels (PA) along with the Polka Dreams All-Star Band starring some of the best hand-picked musicians in the country.  We'll have  some great theme nights too.

Our ship will be the Carnival Pride®.  The ship just went thru a major multi-million dollar refurbishment and had a lot of new features added making it one of the most updated ships in the Carnival fleet.

We'll be going out of Baltimore this time, to the fun & sun filled Bahamas - visiting  the islands of Grand Turk, Freeport & Half Moon Cay^®.  Half Moon Cay^® is an intriguing private island owned by Holland America Lines - another of the cruise lines owned by Carnival Corporation.  This island also recently went thru a multi-million dollar renovation to add some fun things to do.  I thought that going out of Baltimore would give some of you that don't want to fly to Florida or other areas, a chance to go since you can easily drive there from many of the north-eastern and mid-western states. 

We also are planning a welcome dance in the Baltimore area that will be open to anyone.  More details soon.

  “A Dream Trip 4 U” is excited to announce the details about our next polka cruise adventure in sunny paradise.  “Polka Dreams @ Sea 3” Polka Cruise will set sail April 2 - 9, 2017.  We’ll be going out of Baltimore this time, to the fun & sun filled Bahamas – visiting the islands of Grand Turk, Freeport & Half Moon Cay®.  Half Moon Cay® is an intriguing private island owned by Holland America Lines – another of the cruise lines owned by Carnival Corporation.  This island recently went thru a multi-million dollar renovation to add some fun things to do. 

  I thought that going out of Baltimore would give some of you that don’t want to fly to Florida or other areas, a chance to go since you can easily drive there from many of the north-eastern and mid-western states.

*Jeff Mleczko has requested to be part of the Polka Dreams All-Star Band and will be on the cruise if he is able to do so.  He is making great progress.

  We will certainly have the “best of the best” live polka music all week long.   We’ll also have a Polka Jam session where YOU can be the star; and we will have some fun themes such as “Hawaiian Night”, “Red & White / Pre-Dyngus Day”, and more.

  As usual, our affable polka DJ @ Sea - Kenny Olowin will join us to host his fun-filled parties and spin some of your favorite polka tunes.

  In between all the polka excitement and visiting the great sun-drenched islands, you’ll have lots of time to enjoy all the amenities this great ship has to offer.  This state-of-the-art ship features all of the latest innovations.  Dine refined, from the zen-like simplicity of Bonsai Sushi to the muted hues of the Normandie Restaurant… not to mention the Renaissance-era allure of David’s Steakhouse.  And of course there’s real, delectable substance under all that style.  For something a little more casual, try a main course from the main man, Guy Fieri, at Guy’s Burger Joint.  The Mexican heat’s optional at Blue Iguana Cantina, but make your next stop Cherry on Top — the candy-and-more store — where the sweet’s required.  You’ll find yourself with room to move at Beauties Dance Club, and a hard time sitting still at Playlist Productions.  All around you’ll discover even more ways to stay cool, like an adult-only pool at Serenity, a fun-only midship pool featuring a retractable roof… and even a fun-for-all Carnival WaterWorks, the splashy onboard waterpark.  Alongside the pool is the big-fun Seaside Theatre, while Seuss at Sea is a good time for those who love a good rhyme.  Camp Carnival, Circle “C” and Club O2 prove that there are hotspots for all the cool kids… while at Hasbro, The Game Show, kids and adults join forces in a friendly, larger-than-life game show showdown!

  We are planning a welcome dance the night before the cruise in Baltimore, so plan to attend.  This will be open to anyone, even if you are not going on the cruise.  Location & price still being determined and will be announced soon.  Busses are being planned to leave from Buffalo and the Pittsburgh areas and other areas as needed.

German Christmas Market River Cruise
 

Ladies (and Gents), grab your best shopping pal (or even your husband or wife if they are up for it), or get a whole group together, and LET’S GO SHOPPING!!!

But this shopping trip isn’t your ordinary trip to the mall.  It’s much, much more special - because you’ll be traveling from city to city aboard the AMA Waterways AmaPrima^TM Riverboat on an amazing shopping tour along the Danube River in Germany, Austria  & Hungary, finding treasures all along the way to give for Christmas or keep for yourselves.  You’ll be stopping at all the best Christmas Markets to find just the right thing for that special someone in your life.  You’ll start your amazing travels in either Nuremburg or Budapest with shopping and sightseeing stops in Hilpolstein, Regensburg, Passau, Salzburg, Linz, Melk, and Vienna.  

One of the most famous Christmas Markets (or Cristkindel Markt) in Germany is in Nuremburg and began about 400 years ago.  Others, Like the one in Munich date back to 1310.  The markets usually start on the Friday before Advent Sunday and run til just before or just after Christmas.  The markets are generally held in the Town Square and each has its own unique atmosphere.  But common threads include, decorated stalls heaped with traditional Christmas decorations, toys and gifts and the aromas of mulled wine, grilled sausages, and Christmas gingerbread.  

The Christkind (or Christ child) usually opens the Cristkindel Markt ceremony.  St. Nikolaus, the German Santa Claus, often pays a visit throughout the open hours.  Christmas carol singing and Christmas concerts usually coincide with the markets, which are generally open seven days a week and run well into the evenings.  

In the Children’s area many decorative little stalls invite the children to join in handicraft activities such as Christmas baking, candle-pulling, glass workshop, wood burning, handicrafts stall, children’s post office and active playhouse.

In addition to the shopping, there is plenty of sightseeing in the towns as well as along the journey while enjoying the view from your balcony or common areas on this spectacular riverboat.  Special features of your cruise will include a cocktail reception, gourmet dining, complementary Wi-Fi access, lectures, onboard music performances, use of bicycles at your stops, cooking demonstration, and so much more.  Just make sure to have lots of space in your luggage to take all those treasures home.

If you are interested in the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany, the next one is in 2020.
The Passion Play is put on by the whole town of Oberammergau to celebrate the life of Christ.  It takes place only once every 10 years.  This trip will also include the original Oktoberfest in Munich.  In between we’ll be traveling down the Romantic Road with several stops to see castles and other points of interest, and staying overnight in the charming walled city of Rothenberg.  These are just a few of the many highlights of this wonderful adventure.  I can also customize your trip before and after to include a cruise or an adventure into another country.  So save the month of September 2020
